Email Configuration

Any event trigger can be set to send email to respective personnel for any abnormal event.

Mail Servers

The Mail Servers configuration is required for the sending of email notifications. The default available default profile is ECA Notifications. When the ECA has internet notifications, all event notification will be sent to ecanotifications-noreply@gsf.ms.

Only system events, such as Disk Health warnings, Disk Removal, Over temperature, Network Send/Receive activity are sent out.

Customer's private and confidential data are not send out.

The default mail server CANNOT be removed. However, it can be disabled after Custom Mail Servers are added.

Add Custom Mail Servers

Users may add their own preferred Mail Servers.

  1. Press + Add Server.

  2. Provide your preferred name for the new Mail Server.

  1. Insert the required information in Mail Server Info

• SMTP Server

• Port

• User Name

• Password

• From Email

• From Name

• Encryption (Secure Socket Option). Select None, Auto Default, SSL/TLS On Connect, Start TLS, or Start TLS When Available

Select the Encryption method supported by your Mail Server
  1. With the custom Mail Server added, now you can click on its 'Set as Default' to begin using it.

The default mail server profile 'ECA Notifications' CANNOT be removed. However, it can be disabled after Custom Mail Servers are added and set as default.


Email Recipient Settings

The following parameters are mandatory to be configured, so that the ECA system events notifications can be reachable to the targeted recipients:

To Email Addresses

Add targeted primary recipent emails here (separate by comma, space or enter)

CC Email Addresses

Add targeted CC recipient emails here (separate by comma, space or enter)

BCC Email Addresses

Add targeted BCC recipient emails here (separate by comma, space or enter)

Subject Prefix

Add the prefix you would like all email notifications to include in the email subject.

If this is enabled, the ECA's DC number (e.g DC202405052238) will be included in all email notifications

If this is enabled, the ECA's machine name will be included in all email notifications. Note: The Machine name is configurable in Management ▶ General ▶ Machine ▶ Machine Name (Refer Machines)
