# Enable Network Ping Response (Echo Request)

## Applicability

* ecaOS 5
* ecaOS 6

1. In Windows Start Menu, type '**wf.msc**'. Then, click on the wf.msc icon in **Best match**.

2. This opens the **Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security**. Go to **Inbound Rules**.\
   \
   Look for the following six rules that are already existed:\
   \
   •   File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In) - *Domain Profile*\
   •   File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In) - *Public Profile*\
   •   File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In) *- Private Profile*\
   •   File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv6-In) - *Domain Profile*\
   •   File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv6-In) - *Public Profile*\
   •   File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv6-In) *- Private Profile*\
   \
   Select all the six rules. Then, **right-click** and select **Enable Rule**.

3. The ECA shall now be able to response to network ping request.&#x20;
