Applicability
ecaOS 6
Description
Network Interface Card (NIC) Teaming in Windows Server 2022 allows you to combine multiple network interfaces into a single logical virtual adapter, called NIC Team. NIC Teaming, in general, provides better performance, reliability, load balancing and redundancy among network cards.
Procedure
In Windows Start or Windows Search, type 'Server Manager' in the search field. Select Server Manager in the Best match result.

Select Local Server

Ensure the status for NIC Teaming is 'Enabled'.

Click on the word 'Enabled' to view details of the NIC Teaming. The Teaming mode can be checked from here:

Double click on the Team name to view its properties.

To view Additional properties, click 'Additional properties'.

In Additional properties, you may modify the teaming mode.

Teaming Mode Definition
Switch Independent
This mode does not require network cards that are members of the NIC Teaming to be connected to the same switch. They may be attached to different switches.
Static Teaming
This requires the same configuration on the ECA Host and switches to identify which links are from the NIC Teaming mode. Note: This option is switch dependent. It requires all network cards that are members of NIC Teaming to be connected to the same Switch.
LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol)
This dynamically identifies the links between the host and the switch. Note: This option is switch dependent. It requires all network cards that are members of NIC Teaming to be connected to the same Switch.
