# Install Internal Hard Disk Drives

## Applicability

* ECA4.x - MX and VW series

## Description

* The MX and VW series supports internal Hard Disk Drive. 
* Follow the installation steps in this guide carefully

## Install Internal HDD1 and HDD2

1. Open and remove the ECA chassis cover.

2. Remove the six screws that secure the internal HDD cage.

3. Remove the internal HDD cage.&#x20;

4. Install HDD into the cage. For each HDD, there are 3 screws on each side to fasten.

5. Remount the HDD cage, with the HDDs installed, into the chassis. Make sure the orientation is correct as shown in the images below:

6. Connect the SATA and Power connectors to HDD1 and HDD2 accordingly. The SATA cables are number labelled.

7. Fasten the screws for the HDD cage. Then, close chassis cover.

## Install Internal HDD3

1. Open Chassis cover. Then, remove the HDD mounting bracket from the chassis.&#x20;

2. Mount the HDD onto the mounting plate.

3. Install the mounting plate (with HDD installed) into the Chassis.&#x20;

4. Connect the SATA and Power connectors to HDD3.

5. Fasten the 8 screws removed in first step.&#x20;
6. Close chassis cover.&#x20;
