Notification Setting

Description

  • Configure custom Mail Server for System Notification

  • Examples of System Notifications:

    • Disk Health

    • Disk Add, Disk Removal

    • Disk Activity (if enabled)

    • Network Activity (if enabled)


Access Notification Settings

  1. Access System Manager (refer Access System Manager).

  2. In System Manager, press the icon to access Notification Settings.

  1. By default, the system shall have at least one of the following Mail Servers added.

  • SmartLogic Mail Server (wilson-sl@gsf.com.my)

  • ECA Notifications (noreply@gsf.ms)


Add custom Mail Server

  1. If you prefer to use your own mail server, press Add.

  1. In Add or Edit Mail Server, insert the required server settings:

  • Profile name (name that you prefer to appear in Mail Servers list)

  • Email

  • From (email address)

  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP)

  • Port

  • User name

  • Password

  • Encryption

Press OK when done.


Add Notification Recipients

  1. In Notification Settings, press Notification tab:

  1. For Mail Server, select your preferred mail server (hint: the one you have created).

  2. In To, CC and BCC, add recipient emails that would like to receive notifications

You may add multiple recipients, separate by semi-colon (;).

  1. For Subject Prefix, insert a name that's easy for you to identy the source when you read the notification emails. Hint: Server Name. NVR1, NVR2, etc. Otherwise, leave blank.

  2. Press Save and Send Test Email to test.

  3. Press Save to commit settings.
