App Monitor

The App Monitor displays the status of applications tracked by the Application Monitor, as well as services within ecaOS that have been included in the Service Monitor.

• Application Monitor: this tool will be displaying the status all application that added in ‘Application Monitor’. Set the application to auto start after login to OS environment and terminate any instance running at the same time.

• Service Monitor: this tool display the status of system services in the ecaOS that have been added into Service Monitor.

  • Purpose:

    • Monitors mission-critical services

    • Configure which services to launch at start-up

    • Automated corrective behaviour of services when they are not responding, such as:

      • Restart the service

      • Reboot the ECA

Add Application

1. Click the + Add Application button.

1. Enter the application name.

1. Paste the path of the appliation to be added. Then, press Next.

1. Press Next to apply setting.

Settings	What it does
Upon first execution, delay for	Set the delay before starting the application
If other instance(s) are already running, terminate them	If another instance of the same application is already started (not by Application Manager) terminate that instance.
Terminate other instance(s) throughout the entire session	If another other instance attempt to start again after Application Monitor have started the application, terminate it. This prevents duplicated instance.
Terminate application if it does not respond after ___ attempts	If the application does not respond after the number of attempts specified, Application Monitor will terminate it.
Respawn application	Application Monitor will respawn the application if it is not running, or if it is closed. This ensure the application is always running.

1. After successfully add the application to be monitor. The application status will appear in the Application Monitor page.

Delete Application

1. To delete application from Application Monitor, click thebutton of of the target application.

1. Click to proceed with deletion.

Add Services

1. To add services, click the button.

2. In Select Windows Service, click the drop down button.

Then, select a service available from the list to be added to Service Monitor:

1. Click Next button

2. Select the actions that Service Monitor should perform when the services stopped working. Click Save to save the setting.

Delete Services

1. To delete services, click the button of the service that you intend to deleted.
