# Installation Guide

## Introduction

This part of the documentation contains guidelines on the installation of Macula and its components, server initialization and activation, as well as the process of software update and related operations. For detailed information on the software usage, please refer to the **Macula administration** and **user guides**: these documents are installed together with Macula on your machine in PDF format and are available via Windows Start menu.
