Recording Server Initialization

After completing the installation wizard, you will be given the option to enter initial server setup: server initialization is required for the central server to be able to connect and apply settings to the target recording server.

The settings selected during server setup can be changed later at any time using the Server Setup Wizard tool, which is installed together with the Macula Recording Server and can be found via Start -> All Apps -> Macula -> Server Setup Wizard.

Macula Recording Server local port can be only changed by running the Server Setup Wizard tool locally on the Macula Recording Server machine. By changing the Macula Recording Server port via Macula Console you simply tell the central server what port should be used to connect to the Macula Recording Server.

Description

Default Value

Server port

TCP port for incoming central server connections

60554

Note that the port defined here will be used for Macula Recording Server automatic discovery from the central server, and also to retrieve Macula Recording Server data for local Macula Monitor connections. You will need to define the external (Internet) port for each Macula Recording Server via Macula Console in order to be able to receive video streams from remote Macula Monitor connections. Further information can be found in the Connections section of the manual.
